Too Early for Spring Fever???

I don't know if the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday or not, (I do know it was sunny yesterday) but I am hoping so! If you had asked me last week I would have probably admitted that I sort of wouldn't mind another good snowfall just so the kids and I could play outside and build a snowman or go sledding one last time, but today?? It happened when I went to take my 3 minute leave to get my daily beverage. It was nice outside, I didn't want to find socks (yuck!) so I dug from out of the front closet my CHACOS!!!! Oh sweet freedom with bare feet! I now have spring fever! After donning the chacos for the first time this season, there will be no turning back! So - Mother Nature - is it safe to have spring fever???!!

Cheese. Click. Ohhhh!

I have my kids trained well. Whenever I bring out the camera, (weather its pointed at them or not) they say, "Cheese" and smile real big, then "click", the noise it requires to actually take the photo, and then tilt their heads sideways and say "Ohhhhh!" cuz the picture is so cute, (the "ohhh" is said weather they see the image after its taken or not!) Its so funny!

This photo was taken during a blissful moment when I had just bought them suckers at the gas station (on my daily beverage run). And a rare moment when Daxon wanted to cuddle with his sister and she acutally let him! They are so dern cute!! (But feel free to tell me so as well!)

I hope everyone's January is as blissfully boring as mine!

Help! From Other Mothers!

I am asking for some suggestions on what you smart-creative-other-mothers out there do for your kids meals...(Lunch specifically)??? My kids taste-buds are dwindling each day and I feel like its mostly MY fault! They pretty much only eat Macaroni and Cheese, from the box and from Noodles and Co. The rest is either thrown away, or forced upon them and results in ONE bite taken and suddenly they are full!! (Zayla will eat SOME vegetables SOMETIMES if she isn't in the mood to copy everything Daxon does! Ha!)

So....Any Suggestions?

Mindless Thoughts of a Frazzled Mind...

I want to sit and watch a TV show of my choice...
I want some time off...
I want a regular babysitter to watch my kids because,
I want to go on a date with my Hubband...
I want to see my girls in Phoenix...
I want someone to have already planned my Sharing Time for Sunday...
I want Zayla to be over her cold...
I want Daxon's glasses that Zayla snapped in half to be fixed...free of cost!
I want Paula to have a Happy Birthday!
I want my kitchen to miraculously clean itself...better yet, the whole house!
I want some new jeans.
I want a beverge...of the Dr. Pepper variety!

These photos are from a few weeks ago when it snowed hard, but they are so cute and fun that I wanted to post them anyway. Our family had a great Christmas together and look forward many more days of frolicking in the Winter Wonderland!!

Though he was born in Phoenix, Muzzy has always been a snow-dog!

Cornmaze at Thanksgiving point. (We went with Melly, Suzie, Dek and Lito.)...didn't find our way through the maze...and NEVER try to bring a wagon through the maze!

Daxon and Jon's birthday! (yes, its the same day!)

We had a smashing BBQ party for Jonny that evening, but I was too overwhelmed with everything to take photos...

Daxon got a guitar from Mom and Dad! Give him a few months and he'll be playing in Dad's band!

Blayke got to be here for the "birthday" weekend!

Can't believe Daxon is 5!!!

Daxon got to go hunting with Dad for a week (Zay and I went up there for one night). They did get a deer!

So far Hubband has been out of town every weekend of October, and so I stay up way too late and scrap when he is away...
